Help – my tin cloth jacket is far too stiff. How do I break it in?Updated 2 years ago
The best way to soften any stiff Tin Cloth item is simply by wearing it. Over time, the tin cloth will soften up and relax. While it may be uncomfortable at first, this gives the best long-term results.
On older items, stiffness can sometimes be caused by applying too much wax during rewaxing. We recommend using a hair dryer or heat gun on the item and a dry, clean rag to blot out some of the excess wax.
